Privacy Policy
Last updated August 16, 2026
This policy explains what information The Doggie Den website handles, why it is handled, and the choices available to you.
Information this website handles
Information you choose to provide
If you submit the feedback form, you may provide a name, email address, pet name, and message. Name, email address, and pet name are optional. If you contact The Doggie Den through a text, email, social messaging, directions, or other external link, the information you provide is handled by the service you choose to use and under that service’s terms and privacy practices.
Information handled automatically
- The website’s hosting and security services may receive ordinary technical data, such as an IP address, browser type, device type, requested page, date and time, and security signals needed to deliver and protect the site.
- A website analytics service may use browser storage and receive limited usage data about pages viewed and selected buttons.
- Pages with an interactive map request map content from a map service. That service may receive ordinary connection details needed to deliver the map.
- When the feedback form is available, an anti-abuse service checks submissions for signs of automated misuse and may receive technical and security signals.
Availability information
The availability guide receives a limited, read-only result from a private calendar connection and shows only general day-level availability bands. The website does not send visitors appointment titles, attendee names, notes, addresses, or other calendar details. Selecting a day prepares a draft message; it does not book or confirm an appointment.
How information is used
Information may be used to:
- deliver the website and the features you request;
- review and respond to feedback or other messages;
- prevent spam, fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
- maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the website; and
- measure limited website use.
When information is shared
Information may be handled by service providers that support website hosting, security, email delivery, analytics, maps, calendar availability, and anti-abuse checks. They receive only the information reasonably needed to provide their service and process it under their own agreements and privacy practices. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or as part of a business transfer permitted by law.
The Doggie Den does not sell personal information and does not use this website to share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Cookies, browser storage, and website analytics
The analytics service may place or read an identifier in your browser to measure page views and a small set of interactions, such as activating a text, social message, or directions button. The website does not enable advertising storage, advertising personalization, user-level account tracking, or cross-domain tracking.
Analytics events do not include a drafted message, selected appointment date, name, email address, phone number, pet details, feedback content, or URL query string. A button activation records intent only; it does not prove that a message was sent or an appointment was scheduled.
How long information is kept
Feedback is delivered to a business mailbox and is not stored in a separate website database. It may remain in business email records as long as reasonably needed to review the message, reply, maintain appropriate business records, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. Technical, security, and website analytics data may be retained according to the applicable service settings and policies. Information is deleted or de-identified when it is no longer reasonably needed, subject to legal and operational requirements.
Your choices and privacy rights
- You may configure your browser to block or remove cookies and similar browser storage. The website’s main content and contact options remain available.
- You may choose not to submit the feedback form and contact the business another way.
- Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of certain personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You will not be discriminated against for making a privacy request.
Limited processing may be based on operating the requested service, legitimate interests in securing and improving the site, or legal obligations. A request may require reasonable identity verification, and some information may be retained when the law permits or requires it.
Security
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used to protect information. No internet transmission, mailbox, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure, so please do not send passwords, payment card details, veterinary records, or other sensitive information through the feedback form.
Children’s privacy
This website is intended for adults arranging pet-care services and is not directed to children under 13. The Doggie Den does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this website. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, please contact us so it can be reviewed and deleted as appropriate.
External services and data locations
Links and embedded features may connect you to services operated by other companies. Their privacy practices apply once you use those services. Service providers may process information in the United States or other locations where they operate, subject to applicable safeguards and law.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when website practices or legal requirements change. The date at the top will be revised when an update is posted. Material changes will be presented in a reasonably noticeable way when appropriate.
